The idea for the Visual Book came from a very personal place. As the founder of the Visual Book, I grew up in Nigeria and moved to the UK for university. Tragically, I lost my father when I was just three years old. Growing up, I constantly asked my mother for photos and videos of him, so she would photoshop pictures of us together.
Memory preservation is essential to the human experience. We are visual creatures, and images have the power to capture our attention and emotions. Storing and sharing memories through various media is crucial to our sense of identity and connection to others.
This experience & growing up in a digital (Gen-Z) world taught me the importance of video and photos in our daily lives and I was motivated to create a product that would help people preserve and share their memories in a more personal and enduring way. I wanted to be able to show my children, memories of their grandfather, and the Visual Book allows me to do that.

I personally have many books in my home that are beautifully decorated as coffee table books. These are memories of my dad, my graduation memories, and memories of my family and friends.
The Visual Book is a reminder of the love and connection that I have with my father, even though he is no longer with us. In creating the Visual Book, I have been able to honour my father's memory and share our story with others. I hope that the Visual Book will inspire others to do the same, and create their own timeless treasures of their special moments and memories.
