The Origin

Our story revolves around something we all cherish deeply: Memories.

My journey towards creating The Visual Book is deeply connected to my early years. Losing my father at the age of three was a defining moment in my life. I grew up in Nigeria, holding onto a deep longing for the memories we never had the chance to create together.

My mother, with her creative resourcefulness, would photoshop images of us, crafting an imagined past that felt real in my dreams but was absent in reality.

Being part of Gen-Z, I grew up amidst the digital revolution, which profoundly shaped my understanding of the crucial role photos, videos, and audio play in defining our identities and connecting us with others. This insight, combined with my personal quest for tangible memories, became the driving force behind The Visual Book.

The idea truly took shape during my university years in the UK, where I envisioned a product that would revolutionise traditional memory preservation.
